My baked haddock was very good. The sirloin steak was perfectly cooked to medium, as ordered, and was tender & juicy. While the food was very good, service was slow and forgetful. It was not a busy time. Portions are reasonable for the price. While the atmosphere is casual & noisy, a normal convo is still possible. So, overall, it warrants a return visit.
Decided to try this dish. It was good, seasoned nice, BUT the rice and corn was not hot. Not sure what happened. Fish was hot. Did not send back as I was hungry and would've waited longoer. Otherwise, server was polite and attentive
You can't beat the lobster roll, coleslaw and wonderful fries! Enjoyed a nice glass of Pino Grigio and of course a little pop corn. Hubby enjoyed his Sirloin tips and fries. Wine list is small but decent and a good price. Service was excellent despite being crowded. Not fancy but convenient and a good value.
We got the chicken parmigiana family meal. It's was great. Lots of food. Five pieces of chicken, a large tray of penne with marinara sauce, 3 large rolls and 2 large garden salads. Three of us ate 3 pieces of chicken, 1 1/2 rolls and less than 1/2 of the pasta and were full. Didn't even touch the salads. We'll get another meal out of it. Their chicken parmigiana has always been my favorite. We've been getting this family dinner since the beginning of the pandemic and it's always been great.
This review isn't for food. Or ambiance. Or location. This review is for the hostess (I regret not learning her name), who captured one of the most memorable moments in my life. My grandfather is a historical figure- literally- in the Springfield area. He turned 102(!) last month, and my extended family organized a lunch together at this location. Due to life, a marriage, a child, and the pandemic, I have not been able to visit with my grandfather since 2012. I contacted this location to ensure this was where the party would be and planned a trip from California to surprise my grandfather and family. When I arrived, I asked the hostess if she would mind to film the moment. What she captured was nothing short of amazing, and even she was misty-eyed. Thank you, 99 Restaurants for an unmatchable experience and for your care!
